This visualisation shows the extent to which researchers who obtained their doctorate in Flanders are still active at a Flemish university as senior academic staff (remunerated postdoctoral researcher or professor). As the results show, there is a small academic residual group; this concerns researchers in an appointment that is rather academic in nature, but for which no doctorate is required (e.g. lecturer and teaching assistant). The results are shown in function of the different science clusters in which the doctorate was obtained. Different cohorts of doctorate holders can be selected. The situation can be viewed up to a maximum of 15 years after obtaining the doctorate.
